A LITTLE PIECE OF ME: WEEK 5

Today marks the first week I've been in Running Start or should I say college. I like it. The atmosphere is exactly what I've imagined college to be. Love how everyone is there to learn and to not fool around.

With school in session, that means homework. Lots and lots of homework. So I've been super busy lately due to homework, swim, volunteering, and key club. It's a lot of handle all at once but I think I can handle it. Or so I hope I can...

Like every other week, this post will be short because there's nothing really exciting happening in my life currently.

A LITTLE PIECE OF ME: WEEK 4

"I wake up some mornings and sit and have my coffee and look out at my beautiful garden, and I go, 'Remember how good this is. Because you can lose it." - Jim Carrey
I missed last week's weekly entry... but I'll make it up in this week's entry.

Lately, I've been addicted to this thing people called coffee. My morning has been depending on it lately. Which is not good at all.

Recently I've joined the swim team at my school. Whoo hoo! I thought I needed to do something to stay fit until tennis season.

Our first key club meeting was on Monday last week. I would say it was kind of a success. If you don't know what key club is, let me tell you. Key club is a high school student-led organization that focuses on community service and leadership skills. It's bascially a club that consists of high school students who wants to make a difference to the world! Pretty cool.

I officially start Running Start on Monday. Let me take a moment to control my feelings because there's no words to describe how scared I am. Whoever is reading this, please pray for me.

I guess that's all for this week's entry. My life is pretty boring, nothing new so far.

A LITTLE PIECE OF ME: WEEK 2

Photo: Somewhere on We Heart It
"The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy - it's all that matters."
It's officially back to school season and it's in full bloom. This week was my first week of school. It was alright I guess. I only went for the first day since I'm doing this program called Running Start. Yay to Running Start. It means I have an extra 3 weeks of summer.

Finally went back to painting and it feels so good. No wonder I loved it in the first place. It's so calming and peaceful.

I don't have much else to say about this week.

Remember to smile! Because it looks the best on your beautiful face.

HOW TO FEEL BETTER

Photo: Here
"Take time to do what makes your soul happy."
Realistically, we all live busy lives. This stops us from pressing the pause button and doing what we love. Which is to enjoy ourselves once in a while. Even with our jam packed schedules, try to make time to relax. Your soul, mind, and body will thank you for it.

We all have those times when we're feeling down. All we want to do is to crawl in our beds and to sleep the feeling away. Doing this will only make it worse. Here are some ways to make yourself feel better. Well, what I do to make myself feel better.

Burst Out Singing Your Favorite Song:
Play your favorite song and just sing along. You don't have to be a great singer to do this. I'm a horrible singer and I still do this. Why? Because it makes you feel better. It's almost as if you're singing away the horrible feelings that you've been harboring inside that little heart of yours.

One Word: DANCE:
Just like singing, pick a song and just dance to it. When I do this, I look like a goofball but who cares!

Eat Ice Cream:
Have you heard that saying "Eat ice cream when you're feeling down."? This is surprisingly true. When you're feeling down, it's when your heart is broken into little pieces. By eating ice cream, the sugars are mending those little pieces back together into one big happy heart again.

Go For a Run:
By running, you're releasing all of the negative energy. Which makes you better. You may feel tired, sweaty, and exhausted after, but way better than you were before.

If you Can Drive, Go For a Late Night Drive:
This is one of my favorite things to do when I'm feeling down. I love driving to the beach and just sitting there admiring the beautiful skyline of my city. The quiet drive itself is peaceful.

Talk It Out to Someone:
You shouldn't just keep it all to yourself, it's not healthy. So instead, talk to someone about it. It'll make you feel better.

In the end, we might not feel 100% better, but it's better than before. Don't stress yourself out too much. Take time from your busy schedule and relax and have fun because we only live once and it's not worth not having fun in this once in a life time life.

A LITTLE PIECE OF ME: WEEK 1

"I like the word 'indolence'. It makes my laziness classy." - Bernard Williams

This is the last full week before school starts for me. Truthfully, I'm glad that school is starting soon. It gives me something to do rather than staying at home doing absolutely nothing. But I know once school starts, I'm going to dread it. It's a bittersweet feeling.

Since this was the last full week before school starts, that meant rushing to the stores pushing our way through hundreds of shoppers who's also doing some last minute back to school shopping. I have one word for it: hetic. There were people everywhere and supplies were all over the place. This made it extremely hard to find all of the stuff that I needed for this upcoming school year.

Like every Tuesday, I volunteered at the hospital. It was fun as usual. Everyone was nice. It's one of the many amazing things I get to experience. Always grab every opportunity that you can! You'll thank yourself later on in life.

Nothing much happened for the rest of the week. The rest of the week consisted of me trying to finish my summer assignments that I forgot to do... was totally a bad idea to "forget" about them.
